About The Bull Run Water Guardians
The Bull Run Water Guardians is a group of Oregon citizens who appreciate the naturally clean water from the Bull Run Reservoir and are focused on guarding this remarkable resource for its users. Like you, we believe in clean, safe, water, reasonable water rates, and environmentally smart practices. We are not arguing against the EPA LT2 Rule and we fully support sound science. We just want our water treatment to be accomplished in as environmentally wise way as possible for both the water and the planet. We are also opposed to outrageous bureaucratic spending that will unnecessarily skyrocket customers rates when proven, simpler, cleaner, solutions are readily available.
We strive to hold the Portland Water Bureau (PWB) accountable to the ratepayers for fiscal responsibility, transparency, and environmentally friendly methods to provide fresh, great tasting, and safe water.
We didn't start this journey because we were opposed to filtration. We became opposed to filtration after we learned more about it and the better alternatives.
